Social Annotation in Theory and Practice (Part 2) In-Person

Social annotation can be a powerful practice for encouraging students to read closely, reflect on key ideas in texts and learn from one another. This two-part workshop will introduce you to the whys and the hows of using social annotation tools such as Perusall. Part one will focus on theories of student motivation and how collaborative learning strategies such as social annotation promote improved engagement with and retention of course material. Part two will walk you through actually using social annotation tools and putting theory into practice. You are welcome to attend both or either one of these workshops. All Temple instructors and staff are welcome!
