Makerspace Technologies to Help Your Students Learn: An Introduction to the Innovative Teaching with Technology Grant (Hybrid Event) In-Person

How can makerspace technologies help faculty to build a richer and more engaging learning experience for students? How can the tools at the Scholars’ Studio in the Charles Library, such as immersive media technology (virtual reality), 3D reconstructions, mapping and GIS software, and text-mining, be employed to help students learn while preparing them for the kinds of technology they may use in the future? Join us for an exploration of the kinds of technological teaching tools available right here on campus. This workshop will be useful to faculty interested in applying for the Innovative Teaching with Technology Grant that will be offered by the Center for the Advancement of Teaching and University Libraries.

Guest Facilitator: Hannah Tardie, Makerspace Manager, Charles Library
