Book Group: How To Solve It by George Polya (Hosted Online) In-Person

How To Solve It by mathematician George Polya presents both insights into the discipline of heuristic reasoning as well as the means for teaching such reasoning to students. Join Maria Lorenz (math) and Matthew Newby (physics) as we discuss this classic text and wrestle with how best help our students to become disciplined problem solvers.

This 3-part book group will meet via Zoom on the following dates:

Registration for the first session will serve as registration for the subsequent sessions.

Participants are invited to read the online edition of How to Solve It available through Temple Libraries (library.temple.edu). Hard copies are not available through the CAT.
