Can We Really Talk? Experiential Learning As a Method For Understanding Anti-Racism in a Global Context: Temple University’s Global X Program In-Person

Experiential learning has been one of the most effective teaching methods for creating and enhancing students’ abilities to understand concepts of social justice and develop an anti-racist lens in their thinking. Join us to learn about the Global X program, which took students to South Africa to gain a better understanding of racism and gentrification by conducting a comparative analysis of the South African Apartheid system and racialized issues in the United States.

The Can We Really Talk? Series is co-sponsored by the Office of Institutional Diversity, Equity, Advocacy and Leadership (IDEAL).

Guest Facilitators: Nu'Rodney Prad, Director of Student Engagement, IDEAL; Tiffenia Archie, Associate Vice President and Chief Inclusion Officer, IDEAL; Valerie Dudley, Director of Multicultural Education and Training, IDEAL
