Book Group: Multimedia Learning by Richard E. Mayer (Hosted online via Zoom) In-Person

How does one design an effective multimedia presentation? What is the value of adding graphics to a verbal lesson? Under what conditions do graphics improve learning, and how can they help students learn? If you are looking for answers to any of these questions, this book group is for you! This Multimedia Learning book group is for instructors who are interested in understanding the principles of designing multimedia learning environments, improving their multimedia lessons/ presentations, and taking an evidence-based approach for effective multimedia instruction.

This 3-part book group will meet online via Zoom on the following dates:

  • Tuesday, April 5: 2:00-3:30pm
  • Tuesday, April 12: 2:00-3:30pm
  • Tuesday, April 19: 2:00-3:30pm

Registration for the first session will serve as registration for the subsequent sessions. The facilitator will share a Zoom link via email with all registered participants on the day of the workshop.

Registrants will receive a complimentary copy of the book. Books will be available for pickup at the CAT reception desk (TECH Center, Suite 112) in early February. Once registered, please stop by to claim your copy.
