Book Group: Teaching Community by bell hooks (Hosted In-Person at the CAT) In-Person
In Teaching Community: A Pedagogy of Hope, late scholar bell hooks provides an outline for teaching from a place of positivity and hope for the rebuilding of both our learning environments and the larger world via an ethic of care and love. Join us for three sessions as we discuss hooks’ vision and how we can implement it in our own courses.
This 3-part book group will meet in person on the following dates:
- Monday, Febuary 7: 11:00am-12:30pm
- Monday, February 14: 11:00am-12:30pm
- Monday, February 21: 11:00am-12:30pm
Registration for the first session will serve as registration for the subsequent sessions.
Registrants will receive a complimentary copy of the book. Books are available for pickup at the CAT reception desk (TECH Center, Suite 112). Once registered, please stop by to claim your copy.
