Book Group: White Fragility: Why It's So Hard for White People to Talk About Racism by Robin DiAngelo (Hosted Online via Zoom) In-Person
Discussing race is crucial in many classrooms, but often a source of tension. Robin DiAngelo’s White Fragility argues that this tension is itself a product of white privilege. With this book group, we seek to create an environment where we can safely investigate how to address white fragility when it manifests both in our students and ourselves.
This book group will be held in three sessions:
- Thursday, April 8, 3:00-4:30pm
- Thursday, April 15, 3:00-4:30pm
- Thursday, April 22, 3:00-4:30pm
Registration for the first session will serve as registration for the subsequent sessions. Participants will have access to the online version of this book through Temple Libraries. No hard copies will be distributed.
The facilitator will send an access link to this webinar via email prior to the session.
