Book Group: The Contemplative Mind in the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning by Patricia Owen-Smith (Hosted Online via Zoom) In-Person

Mindful and contemplative practices are increasingly popular in higher education. They have been shown to mitigate difficult classroom dialogues, and can focus us amidst our frenetic professional lives. Come chat as we explore The Contemplative Mind in the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning. Author Patricia Owen-Smith takes us through contemplative practices and theory in education, and helps us imagine mindful practices for the teaching life.
