Supercharging the Start of the Semester (Hosted Online via Zoom) In-Person
How we begin our course is essential for setting a tone for the semester, helping students to begin to engage with each other and with us, and clarifying expectations. Yet, all too often, the rush and routines of the new semester prevent us from giving this crucial start to the semester its due. In this workshop, you’ll learn a variety of techniques to help ensure you and your students start off on the right foot. We’ll cover everything from introducing yourself to syllabi to icebreakers, all with an eye towards preparing you and your students for semester-long success.
