Book Group: Minds Online by Michelle Miller (Hosted online via Zoom)

Cognitive psychologist Michelle Miller explains how principles of human cognition can inform effective use of technology in college teaching. She provides specific suggestions and strategies to create what she terms “cognitively optimized” online courses--in effect online courses designed to fit well with how people actually learn.

This book group is held in three sessions:

  • Series Session 1: Wednesday, April 15, 2020 from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm
  • Series Session 2: Wednesday, April 22, 2020 from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm
  • Series Session 3: Wednesday, April 29, 2020 from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm

Registration for the first session will serve as registration for the subsequent sessions. Participants will be given information on how to access the book after registration.
