Book Group: Minds Online by Michelle Miller In-Person
Cognitive psychologist Michelle Miller explains how principles of human cognition can inform effective use of technology in college teaching. She provides specific suggestions and strategies to create what she terms “cognitively optimized” online courses--in effect online courses designed to fit well with how people actually learn.
All participants will receive a complimentary copy of the book. Once you're registered, please stop by the CAT (TECH 112) to claim your copy.
This book group is held in three sessions:
- Series Session 1: Wednesday, March 11, 2020 from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm
- Series Session 2: Wednesday, March 18, 2020 from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm
- Series Session 3: Wednesday, March 25, 2020 from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm
Registration for the first session will serve as registration for the subsequent sessions.
