Can We Really Talk: Conversations Around Diversity, Race and Inclusion in the Classroom Pt. 3 In-Person

*This workshop is co-sponsored by the Office of Institutional Diversity, Equity, Advocacy and Leadership

This semester, join us for interesting conversations around diversity, race, and inclusion in the classroom as we consider how the media plays a role in various aspects of our teaching.

Session Three - Teaching About Bias Through the Lens of Media

Students come to class with many different things on their minds. However, what do you do when your entire class is thinking about the same thing: a big event or series of events that are fresh in everyone’s minds? In this session we will discuss ways to manage and discuss current events in the classroom that promote thoughtful reflection and discussion from students.
