Book Group: Don't Even Think About It by George Marshall In-Person

The world is on fire, yet most of us seem content to continue our lives as if everything is going to turn out okay. Why? In his book Don't Even Think About It, George Marshall broadly investigates the psychology of climate change denial--not just the thinking of those who refuse to listen to the science, but also those of us who acknowledge the human-induced climate crisis yet don’t feel motivated to action. Beyond its warning about the climate, Marshall’s work speaks to an ongoing challenge for educators: how do we examine our own assumptions and mental shortcuts so they don’t keep us from achieving our goals? Join us as we strive to make visible our own limitations so that we can be the best we can be for our students.
