Fostering Student Motivation In-Person
Student motivation is a necessary element of student learning. All the knowledge, preparation, and pedagogical techniques in the world won’t help us in the classroom if we can’t motivate students to come along with us. In this two-part workshop we’ll look at ways to entice students to be fully engaged in their own education. Topics will include extrinsic and intrinsic motivators, student ownership, encouraging student self-efficacy, and creating a supportive environment.
This workshop is held in two sessions:
- Series Session 1: Wednesday, October 23, 2019 from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm
- Series Session 2: Wednesday, October 30, 2019 from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm
