Asynchronous, Not Alone: Creating an Engaged Learning Community of Students in Asynchronous Online Courses (December 8-14) In-Person
The best asynchronous courses don’t operate like wind-up toys where all your effort goes into setting them up, and then you sit back and let them go. Instead, students are consistently interacting with each other, with the content you’ve chosen, and most importantly — with you! But how can you and your students feel like there are actual humans learning together in community when there’s no meeting time built into your class? This one-week asynchronous course will model how to do just that, as we dig into the fundamentals of student motivation in the asynchronous online classroom. Expect to participate and interact with each other throughout the week! All Temple instructors and staff are welcome.
