Book Group: The Anti-Ableist Manifesto by Tiffany Yu In-Person

In her recent book, The Anti-Ableist Manifesto, Tiffany Yu argues that dismantling ableism is not just about compliance; it’s about unlocking every learner’s sense of agency and community—exactly what the research shows drive retention in online and face-to-face courses alike. The book’s stories, drawn from multiple disabilities and intersecting identities, help us grasp why universal design benefits the whole class, not just students with accommodation letters. The book moves from (personal) reflection to (collective) action, just like any good learning progression. Join us for lively and supportive discussion! All Temple instructors and staff are welcome.

Facilitator: Elizabeth White Vidarte, Online Learning Specialist, CAT
