The Psychological Underpinnings of Student Success In-Person

This interactive workshop will explore some of the fundamental processes influencing student success. From their burgeoning sense of self as young scholars to their academic motivation and decision-making, we will discuss that which shapes how and why our students might engage, learn, and ultimately thrive in our classrooms. This workshop is an opportunity to reflect on your teaching practice and exchange ideas with colleagues. You’ll leave with the beginnings of a conceptual toolkit geared towards ensuring our learning environments are fully capable of cultivating academic achievement. We will also review how you might study any changes to your classroom, such as those you may incorporate beyond attending this workshop. All Temple instructors and staff are welcome!
