Book Group: Grading for Growth by David Clark & Robert Talbert In-Person

In Grading for Growth: A Guide to Alternative Grading Practices That Promote Authentic Learning and Student Engagement in Higher Education, mathematicians Clark and Talbert outline a range of assessment strategies that promote student learning over points-grubbing behaviors. Furthermore, chapter 11 of Grading for Growth is a workbook designed to help you develop these techniques for your own classroom. The first session of this book group will focus on a discussion of the principles outlined in the text. The second session will serve as a peer review for participants wanting to take advantage of the workbook chapter. All Temple instructors and staff are welcome!
