Can We Really Talk? Fostering LGBTQIA+ Inclusive Classrooms at Temple In-Person

What happens outside of the classroom impacts our students’ well-being and their ability to learn inside of the classroom. In light of recent legislative and political actions that directly impact the LGBTQIA+ community and their rights, how can we ensure that all students, including those who identify as LGBTQIA+, feel supported, respected, and valued in our classrooms? This workshop provides ways we can foster more inclusive classrooms. We will talk about how language, classroom dynamics, and course design can impact student experiences, and share information about campus resources for supporting well-being and community. All Temple instructors and staff are welcome!

The Can We Really Talk? Series is co-sponsored with the Office of Institutional Diversity, Equity, Advocacy and Leadership (IDEAL).
