Book Group: Teaching Community: A Pedagogy of Hope by bell hooks In-Person
Join us for a book group on bell hooks’ visionary work, Teaching Community: A Pedagogy of Hope, in which hooks explores the profound impact of education grounded in love and inclusivity. Through a blend of personal anecdotes and theoretical insights, hooks inspires educators to create classrooms that foster critical thinking, empowerment, and collective healing. We will meet twice online to discuss hooks’ transformative pedagogy. All Temple instructors and staff are welcome!
This 2-part book group meets on the following dates:
- Friday, February 28, 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM
- Friday, March 14, 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Registration for the first session serves as registration for the subsequent session. Participants are expected to attend both sessions.
Participants will receive a complimentary copy of the book. Books are available for pickup at the CAT reception desk (TECH Center, Suite 112). Once registered, please stop by to claim your copy.
The CAT will email registered participants a Zoom access link to this webinar one hour before the session.
