Can We Really Talk? Session 3: An Intergenerational Conversation about Underrepresented Faculty Belonging and Mentoring at Temple (Hosted in person) In-Person
In this session, we invite new faculty and teaching assistants to join senior faculty in a conversation about belonging and mentoring. We will discuss together how all faculty, and especially faculty from underrepresented groups, such as BIPOC faculty, have access to the kinds of mentorship opportunities that their peers receive. Our aim is to foster connections and build an intergenerational community where faculty and teaching assistants can learn about resources and existing networks to support their professional development and success at Temple. All instructors are welcome!
Facilitators: Kimmika Williams-Witherspoon, Senior Associate Dean and Professor, School of Theater, Film and Media Arts; David W. Brown, Assistant Dean of Community and Communication, Klein College of Media and Communication; Valerie Dudley, Director of Multicultural Education and Training, IDEAL; Linda Hasunuma, Associate Director, CAT
