Academic Integrity in the Age of AI (Hosted in person) In-Person

Generative AI has made addressing academic integrity in our courses increasingly challenging. How do we know whether students have employed AI tools in ways we did not permit? What is the right strategy for confronting cases of possible unauthorized use? In this workshop, we will tackle the thorny topic of cheating with generative AI tools. You will leave with a better understanding of the conditions that lead students to take shortcuts, strategies for talking with students about AI use and possible misuse, and how to keep the focus on our students' learning.
