Chapter Group: How Learning Works, Chapters 7 & 8 (Hosted online via Zoom) In-Person

The new edition of How Learning Works: 8 Research-Based Principles for Smart Teaching updates this pedagogical classic, incorporating the latest research on a wide range of issues, including the impact of student identity and course climate. In this “chapter group” format you are encouraged to register for only the dates where we will be discussing the topics that most interest you. Sign up for only one session if you’d like, or sign up for many or all of them!

  • On Thursday, September 12th, we will be discussing chapter 1, “Why Do Students’ Identities and Stages of Development Matter for Learning?” and chapter 4, “What Factors Motivate Students to Learn?” Click here to register.
