AAPI Faculty & Staff Boba & Books Hour: Permission to Come Home: Reclaiming Mental Health as Asian Americans by Jenny Wang (Hosted online via Zoom) In-Person

Temple University’s AAPI Faculty & Staff Affinity Group and the CAT are hosting our first Boba & Books Hour featuring Permission to Come Home: Reclaiming Mental Health as Asian Americans by Dr. Jenny Wang. This book delves into the unique mental health challenges Asian Americans face in their personal and professional lives, and provides compassionate guidance for ways we can support our mental health, embrace our cultural heritage, and foster resilience in our communities. Dr. Lin Zhu, a leading expert on Asian American mental health at Temple’s Lewis Katz School of Medicine will co-facilitate our two online meetings. All are welcome, including allies to the AAPI community at Temple. We will discuss the first two chapters of the book over these two sessions so that participants can work independently through the rest of the book at their own pace. The book is available through Temple Libraries as an ebook.

Facilitators: Dr. Lin Zhu, Assistant Professor, Center for Asian Health, Lewis Katz School of Medicine; Linda Hasunuma, Associate Director, CAT

This 2-part book group will be hosted online on the following dates:
