Annotate and Motivate: Engaging Students with Social Reading Tools (Hosted Online via Zoom) In-Person
Struggling with getting students to do the reading? Need new strategies for encouraging them to engage with the text and each other? Social annotation is a strategy instructors can use to facilitate student engagement with course content. Social annotation tools allow students to interact with course readings and their peers to construct new learning in the classroom. In this session, we will look at the pedagogy of social annotation, the tools currently available to instructors and how to implement it in your course to facilitate rich learning experiences.
