Book Group: The New Science of Learning: How to Learn in Harmony With Your Brain by Todd Zakrajsek (Hosted In Person) In-Person
So many of our students have not been taught how to learn optimally. Well-known faculty development expert author Todd Zakrajsek weaves together the research on how the brain learns with practical strategies to enhance comprehension and long-term retention. Although written for students, faculty can greatly benefit by teaching students these strategies. If you'd love to see your students become more reflective, more self-directed, and more passionate about their learning, then this book group is for you!
Facilitators: Stephanie Fiore, Associate Vice Provost and Senior Director, CAT; Cliff Rouder, Pedagogy & Design Specialist, CAT
