Creating Tests Worth Taking In-Person
Giving an exam is one of the most common methods of assessing student learning. But what are our exams really measuring? What strategies can be used before and after the exam to maximize student learning? How can the exam itself be a learning opportunity? In this workshop, we will explore the entire process of developing an exam--from creating questions that go beyond memorization to effective strategies for exam preparation and debriefing. This workshop will also give you an opportunity to constructively reflect on your own exam questions and practices.
