Understanding by Design by Grant Wiggins and Jay McTighe In-Person
Understanding by Design (UbD), developed by Grant Wiggins and Jay McTighe, provides a powerful framework for designing a course for both content mastery and deep understanding. Rather than “conquering the content”, UbD encourages teachers to ask themselves: What essential questions will my students and I explore together? What enduring understandings will my students gain that they can apply after they leave my course? This workshop will introduce participants to the UbD framework and how to teach for understanding.
