SUMMARY:AI Foundations for Educators: An Asynchronous Workshop (March 17-April 13)
DESCRIPTION:This three-part asynchronous workshop guides faculty through 
 the evolving landscape of generative AI in education\, offering practical 
 tools and strategies for managing AI use in your courses. We will introduce 
 you to the basics of generative AI\, including an overview of what it is\, 
 how to effectively prompt AI tools\, and where to find additional 
 resources. You will explore decision-making processes around the use of 
 AI\, weighing the potential benefits and challenges in relation to 
 curricular goals\, and accessing resources tailored for both AI adoption 
 and AI-resistant approaches. You will consider how to manage AI use in the 
 classroom\, covering essential topics such as setting clear guidelines\, 
 addressing academic integrity concerns\, understanding AI detectors\, and 
 utilizing AI for both teaching and personal productivity. Each part is 
 enriched with resources\, examples\, and activities to provide you with a 
 better understanding of generative AI’s role in higher education. All
