Book Group: Learning Assessment Techniques: A Handbook for College Faculty by Elizabeth Barkley and Claire Howell Major (Hosted In-Person at the CAT) In-Person
Join us for a hands-on exploration of Learning Assessment Techniques: A Handbook for College Faculty, a book based on the premise that teaching and assessment are a seamless, integrated, and unified process. The authors have created a trove of techniques that instructors can use to assess student learning for diagnostic, formative and summative purposes. Participants will use this book to review existing assessment practices, and/or create new ones that are aligned to course learning goals and activities.
This 3-part book group will meet on the following dates:
- Wednesday, November 3: 2:30-4:00pm
- Wednesday, November 10: 2:30-4:00pm
- Wednesday, December 1: 2:30-4:00pm
Registration for the first session will serve as registration for the subsequent session.
Registrants will receive a complimentary copy of the book. Books are available for pickup at the CAT reception desk (TECH Center, Suite 112). Once registered, please stop by to claim your copy.
