Can We Really Talk? Preparing for Challenging Discussions and H.O.T. Moments In-Person
Do you hesitate to engage students in class discussion about challenging topics? Have you ever had a H.O.T. (heated, offensive, or tense) moment during a class and freeze? Learn how to prepare yourself and your students for discussions that are respectful and productive by establishing discussion guidelines and practicing techniques for preparing for and responding to H.O.T. moments. All are welcome!
