Book Group: What Can I Get Out of This? by Carlo Rotella In-Person
Many instructors struggle with student engagement. In What Can I Get Out of This?: Teaching and Learning in a Classroom Full of Skeptics, author Carlo Rotella documents his own efforts to create student buy-in for his general education literature course. This three-part book group will follow Rotella's instructional adventures and the struggles of his students. We'll discuss what Rotella tells us about our own classrooms full of skeptics and how better to engage them. All Temple instructors and staff are welcome.

This three-part book group will meet in person on the following dates:

- Wednesday, September 23, 2:00-3:00 PM
Registration for the first session serves as registration for the subsequent sessions. Participants will receive a complimentary copy of the book. Books will be available for pickup at the CAT reception desk (TECH Center, Suite 112). Once registered, please stop by to claim your copy.
