Accessibility Tuesdays In-Person
Accessibility Tuesdays is a virtual co-working space where faculty and staff can set aside dedicated time to make real progress on digital accessibility and prepare materials to better align with WCAG 2.0 and ADA expectations. Bring a syllabus, Canvas page, PDF, slide deck, or other course content, work alongside others, and use the session like a writing group for accessibility.
You can also use Accessibility Tuesdays as a drop-in help desk for accessibility questions. Pop in for five minutes to ask a question, troubleshoot a document, or get quick feedback, then head back to your day. A CAT staff member will be available to provide one-on-one support. If you have accessibility questions on other days of the week, of course, the in-person and virtual ed tech drop-in labs are available Monday through Friday from 8:00 am-4:30 pm.
These sessions are intentionally structured as a “body doubling” space. Working alongside others, even virtually, can make it easier to start, stay focused, and follow through. It supports everyone, and it can be especially helpful for neurodivergent colleagues who benefit from shared structure, gentle accountability, and a low-pressure environment. Drop in to work, drop in to ask, or do both.
No registration or appointment required. Mark your calendar and make a plan to attend via Zoom in the Virtual EdTech Lab.
Note: Accessibility Tuesdays are not included in the Digital Accessibility Micro-Credential program.
