Meaningful Mentoring: Insights and Innovations from Temple's Faculty Learning Community on Mentoring In-Person

How do we mentor in ways that truly support faculty and student success at Temple? Members of the CAT’s Fall 2025 Faculty Learning Community on Meaningful Mentoring share the strategies, challenges, and breakthroughs that transformed their mentoring approaches and relationships. Panelists will discuss how they use agreements to establish shared expectations and healthy boundaries, and build trust, as well as innovative ways for assessing mentoring effectiveness. Attendees will leave with practices they can adapt to their own contexts to elevate mentoring in their own departments, schools, and colleges at Temple University. All Temple instructors and staff are welcome!

Facilitator: Linda Hasunuma, Assistant Director of Inclusion Initiatives, CAT
