Celebrate Black History With the Blockson Collection! In-Person

The Charles L. Blockson Afro-American Collection is one of the nation's leading research facilities for the study of the history and culture of people of African descent. This collection of over 700,000 items has materials on the global Black experience in all formats: rare and contemporary books, manuscripts, sheet music, pamphlets, journals, newspapers, broadsides, posters, photographs, and rare ephemera. The Blockson Collection also has an extensive Black Music Collection, highlighting Philadelphia jazz, that includes albums, photographs, archives, and more. All Temple instructors and staff are welcome!

This event will take place in the Charles L. Blockson Afro-American Collection, located in Sullivan Hall, 1st Floor (1330 Polett Walk, Philadelphia, PA 19122).
