Using Voicethread to Enhance Community in Online and Face-to-Face Classes In-Person

Students frequently resist taking intellectual risks in the classroom setting, whether online or face-to-face.  This can be in part related to shyness or social anxiety, although other factors can certainly affect students' engagement and connection in the classroom. In the first two sessions, we will explore Voicethread as a digital tool to help break down barriers to engagement.  Participants will also learn how to use this powerful digital tool in both their online and face-to-face classrooms. Laptops will be provided.  In lieu of a third session, participants will have the opportunity to schedule a private consultation to work individually.

This workshop will meet twice: April 12th and 19th from 12:30 to 1:50pm. In lieu of a third session, participants will have the opportunity to schedule a private consultation to work individually.
