Creating Engaging Videos In-Person

As online, flipped, and hybrid class formats grow in popularity, the number of faculty creating video lectures is increasing. In this three-part workshop, we will explore both the pedagogical and technological aspects of creating engaging video lectures for students to view online. Part one focuses on specific methods and activities instructors can use to create more interactive experiences in video lectures and why they are important for student learning. In part two, you will be introduced to basic screencasting software, such as Camtasia Relay and Screencast-o-Matic.  Part three will present advanced screencasting options and tools, including Microsoft Office Mix and VoiceThread.
